The design community will feel the wake of this passing for a long time. Leo Obstbaum, the passion behind the design of the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee, the mascots, the illustrative icons, and – the yet to be seen the medals, died suddenly at home on Thursday. He was 40. Leo is everywhere when it comes to the 2010 games in Vancouver, and it will be forever and a life time before we forget the results of that energy and passion for design.Look around you – Leo’s passion.
Some of his work outside that of vanoc and the Olympics is found here at his self founded multi-disciplinary design studio http://www.obstbaumstudio.com/en/index.php
