Story Telling – Illustration

It may not be obvious but it is true – my passions are in the world of illustration and story telling. Corporate identities tell stories – true –  but not always as poetically as in the organic form of illustration. The following series of illustrations tell the story of “the False Creek Tressel Bridge” that was there up until just before Expo 86, I have mapped False Creek with a hand drawn Type style map outlining some points in the history of False Creek, the industry and the bridges, and then 3 images (illusrtation) showing the Vancouver Mayors’ that played Key Roles in the Tressel Bridges construction, its alterations, and of course its eventual removal. Next time you come from the West end to Granville Island look over the South side of the boat and you may see some of the Tressels concrete remains.
